Terms of Service & Privacy
The short version, plainly stated.
1. What RosterPool is
RosterPool is an introduction service. We connect businesses that need a shift covered with casual workers who want to cover it. We are not an employer, a labour hire agency, or a payroll provider.
2. Engagement and pay
Businesses engage casuals directly under their own casual employment or contractor arrangements. The business sets the pay rate on each shift and pays the worker directly. RosterPool never sets wages, processes wage payments, or directs how work is performed.
3. Business obligations
Businesses confirm at signup that they hold the required insurance (including workers compensation where applicable) and will engage casuals in line with local employment law. The date of that confirmation is stored on the business record.
4. Worker acknowledgement
Workers acknowledge at signup that they are engaged by the business, not by RosterPool, for every shift they accept through the platform.
5. Fees
Businesses pay a monthly subscription for platform access, with a 14-day free trial. Workers use the platform free of charge. Verification is an optional one-time fee, refunded if a submission is rejected. There are no commissions on wages and no per-hire fees.
6. Conduct and reputation
Attendance, no-shows, late cancellations, and ratings are recorded to keep the marketplace honest. Ratings are double-blind and cannot be edited once revealed. Unfair reviews can be flagged for moderation.
7. Privacy
We collect only what the marketplace needs: profile details, certifications, shift activity, attendance and ratings. Site contact details are shown only to workers hired for a shift at that site. We do not sell personal data.
